Wellness is not how thin you are or how many hours you spent on the gym or how many carrots you ate for lunch last week. wellness is feeling good inside yourself and knowing who you are. If you don’t know who you are you will only be a lost soul at sea. If your soul is shining so are you on the outside and this is notice by many people around you and this is like rings on the water without you even knowing it. By our mind and consciousness we effect others around us by having a soul filled with wellness. And with wellness comes happiness. You catch my drift here? 🙂
I notice myself being grumpy sometimes for no reason at all, like the atmosphere we live in effect us most negatively once in a while. This effects of course my surrounding and all of a sudden the moment that just been so good for all just died. Most unnecessary and this is why I write this post, To make you remember who you are and how you feel and how that effects everything you do and and around you. To reach a goal it is important to not loose the ground on reality as the world we live in today is rough and not at all what you think it is. Open your eyes and hearts and you notice that the world will opens up to you.

I really have a sweet tooth but I love fruit as well. I need to try and cut down on the candy and there are tons of excellent and lovely fruits out there especially now when summer is around the corner. And it just has to be that I love fruit. Fresh strawberries, blueberries, black berries, oranges, grapes, kiwi and apples fill my galley now after a trip to the market today. Fresh juices and smoothies will be the next few days detox with all these fruits filled with alkaline. Why alkaline fruits? Well they are very good anti cancer fruits for example. Buts that not all it does.
So what are acid forming foods good for?
Balance the pH in the body and when that’s balanced you notice for example:
- Better digestion
- Easier fat loss
- better mental focus
- better mood
- less pain from inflammation related conditions
It is your body and only you decide whats goes into it so choose wisely and change some of the bad habits and replace it with good living well being.
You notice a more healthy active life and you make your body a favor.
You know what they say? An apple a day keeps the doctor away. 🙂 Its true!
Water. Wet. cold, warm, liquid, frozen, steam. These are the many ways we can see and feel water. Its important that we know that we should pay great respect for the water. great oceans is out there with their currents, tides and waves.
Water is also full of life and it has memories. Just think about what all the rivers and lakes could tell us if they could speak. Our bodies are filled with up to 50-65% water so be gentle to yourself and how you use your language, your body might not like it.
Take a look at Dr Masaru Emotos video and see his experiment with water. It is pretty awesome.You might start thinking in another way then before.
I have lived my last 7 years connected to the water and I can feel its power by the unspoken stories it tells me at night while rocking me to sleep.
Here is Europe we have relative clean water but I suggest that you always filter your water anyway as now days normal drink water has a lot of added toxic like fluoride and bacteria’s. Thanks a lot for this. We now have the cleanest water on the block. 🙂
During the last winter we took care of a dog called Cola, we are now proud owners of Cola and today we got him home. He is a schipperke and are 5 years old and such a sweetheart. These dogs were from the beginning dogs chasing rats on the Belgian barges on the rivers. This is a true friend to Melvin as well and they are lovely together. I call them big and small. A new chapter in life begins with Cola as well by my side.
What breakfast do you do on board? I love my coffee and husband his tea.
Fresh oranges so we can press juice is a must on board for us.
You know that either you done something stupid or you are awesome if the harbour master shows up in your home 🙂 We are just awesome and Arnold is a great guy who always are helpful so of course we have become good friends. Look how Happy Dan gets when he arrives. That means also that we are going to drink a lot of coffee. I thought I was a coffee junkie but you never met Arnold then. 🙂

I just wanted to share with you all that I am back on track, started work for real and doing business today and it feels great! The flu is gone but my voice sounds like I have been drinking 1 liter of whiskey the last 20 years, nothing wrong though all seems good. I hang out with my tea cup spiced with lemon and ginger.
Cure for a flu from hell:
- Liters of Tea with honey, lemon and ginger
- hot showers
- small amount of food every hour
- love from husband

One of the thing we don’t have on board is a TV and it feels great. 8 years without a TV has made me much smarter and also made me got some hobbies and learned about things I never thought I even would be interested in. So when you land people sit in your big sofas watching a TV show with absolutely no meaning we create something. Those things can for an example be:
- Learning about electronics on board such as 12v and convert between AC and DC.
- Knots and para cord making ( D used to have knot school with me an hour a day when we sailed from The Med)
- Diesel engines such as changing filter,impeller, check oil (both in engine and gearbox)
I love my husband for showing me these things even though its been a struggle sometimes and a lot of bad words coming out, its great to be able to know that I can fix these thing by myself if i would ever need it. He was also the one that thought me how to sail we cannot forget that, and a loads of other things I probably never think of anymore. 🙂
One of the hobbies on board that you can do at anytime and it takes no space to store is para cord key rings and bracelets for example. My husband is awesome at splicing, doing knots and para cord. We a box filled with tools for this and ropes in all different colors and thicknesses. I have not really been that interested before but its kind of fun to watch D do it and try to make my own.
Another one is yoga. Just a small carpet and you are ready to go. I sometimes sit in the front of the boat also during sailing and just relax on the carpet and suck in natures forces. Nothing is better than the fresh air and the wind touching your body while sailing quietly through the waves. Life is almost full filled at that point.
