There is something about water that connects…..
Summer always brings those wonderful exotic fruits and veggies and on the market I can go for hours picking out fresh fruit. The fruit detox for this week contains passion fruit, apples, grapes, strawberries and mango. Throw in a few macadamia, walnuts and apricots kernels (alternative cancer treatment and contains Vitimine B17) and you have a real organic detox that will make your body go WHIIIII of happiness.
Wellness is not how thin you are or how many hours you spent on the gym or how many carrots you ate for lunch last week. wellness is feeling good inside yourself and knowing who you are. If you don’t know who you are you will only be a lost soul at sea. If your soul is shining so are you on the outside and this is notice by many people around you and this is like rings on the water without you even knowing it. By our mind and consciousness we effect others around us by having a soul filled with wellness. And with wellness comes happiness. You catch my drift here? 🙂
I notice myself being grumpy sometimes for no reason at all, like the atmosphere we live in effect us most negatively once in a while. This effects of course my surrounding and all of a sudden the moment that just been so good for all just died. Most unnecessary and this is why I write this post, To make you remember who you are and how you feel and how that effects everything you do and and around you. To reach a goal it is important to not loose the ground on reality as the world we live in today is rough and not at all what you think it is. Open your eyes and hearts and you notice that the world will opens up to you.

I really have a sweet tooth but I love fruit as well. I need to try and cut down on the candy and there are tons of excellent and lovely fruits out there especially now when summer is around the corner. And it just has to be that I love fruit. Fresh strawberries, blueberries, black berries, oranges, grapes, kiwi and apples fill my galley now after a trip to the market today. Fresh juices and smoothies will be the next few days detox with all these fruits filled with alkaline. Why alkaline fruits? Well they are very good anti cancer fruits for example. Buts that not all it does.
So what are acid forming foods good for?
Balance the pH in the body and when that’s balanced you notice for example:
It is your body and only you decide whats goes into it so choose wisely and change some of the bad habits and replace it with good living well being.
You notice a more healthy active life and you make your body a favor.
You know what they say? An apple a day keeps the doctor away. 🙂 Its true!
Water. Wet. cold, warm, liquid, frozen, steam. These are the many ways we can see and feel water. Its important that we know that we should pay great respect for the water. great oceans is out there with their currents, tides and waves.
Water is also full of life and it has memories. Just think about what all the rivers and lakes could tell us if they could speak. Our bodies are filled with up to 50-65% water so be gentle to yourself and how you use your language, your body might not like it.
Take a look at Dr Masaru Emotos video and see his experiment with water. It is pretty awesome.You might start thinking in another way then before.
I have lived my last 7 years connected to the water and I can feel its power by the unspoken stories it tells me at night while rocking me to sleep.
Here is Europe we have relative clean water but I suggest that you always filter your water anyway as now days normal drink water has a lot of added toxic like fluoride and bacteria’s. We got sponsored from a Company called Clearly Filtered with one of their pitcher that filters away 90% of the fluoride and harmful corcinogens and contaminants that can be found in your tap water. Thanks a lot for this. We now have the cleanest water on the block. 🙂
Rose and Leif which we sail with at the moment came over and Rose was a Thai food chef and her food is just amazing. She started to cook the most wonderful chicken soup and her food shows up now and then in Happy Six. Almost like we have our own cook as I have not cooked dinner in days now. 🙂 Som tam and some other names I don’t remember, lovely and very spicy.
A navigation table has the purpose of helping the sea charts lay down proper so you can read them, plotting and knowing where you are. But let us all be honest here, it might look like a navigation table, but its not. Its all the other things except the charts. VHF, AIS, Navtex, gas alarm sensor, radio, inverter and other panels as well as books and my office stuff. Why you might wonder?… And the answer is easy,
No one uses charts anymore! And if they have one they have no idea how plotting works. They might even read the chart it upside down. I had the luck to marry a man of the old school kind. He is young in his mind but he knows all these things that no one knows anymore. Like plotting its he and the fishermen out there. I never really use the charts as now days most of the boats has a electronically plotter up there. If all electronics would be wiped out you might find yourself in a dangerous or unpleasant situation when you might would had the knowledge handy of real plotting.
Most of the time this is my area where I work, blog and sometimes watch movies so its also used for puttign my drinks on as well as my bowl of popcorn 🙂
I love my galley in the boat and it is great to make food in. My husband asked me when he rebuilt the galley what my request were and I made a list hoping I would get half of the stuff on it. He managed all on the list and a little extra as well. Great stove with a great oven, carbon fiber surface, spice locker, new faucet, automatic light in all lockers when opened as well as led light strip with dimmer and last but not least red lights for the night sailing. When you have a good galley its fun to cook and I always say that no matter if you are tied up to the quay or out sailing you should always allow yourself to eat good food.
Baking is one of my passions and today I made some nice lemon cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and some small breakfast bread with poppy seeds .Pasta is a favorite on board as well as mini pizzas which is great to make and throw in the oven while sailing.
We make all our food our self and avoid half fabricate which mostly just contains Hugh amounts sugar and other bad stuff. So all the below pictures you see is food and baking we do either out sailing or tied up in port.
