Lovely May

May is here and that should mean spring and it has turned that way, we had a week with weird weather but now all seem to be gone and the sun is here. We are out sailing still and we have about 3 more weeks to sail before I need to start a new job in Amsterdam. That is going to be pretty exiting. today was one of those days with hardly no wind, sun high up and felt warm in the face, finally May is here. 🙂

A normal Wednesday

This is just a normal Wednesday to me. On the waterways again. 🙂

What is going on?

Its no secret in today’s society that there are people that work on a daily basis with controlling the weather. the government in US has had HAARP for years and that’s scary stuff. I posted not long ago a post about CLOUDS and for years I have been thinking that they do not look the same as they done before. They look fake some times and just does not make sense with how it suppose to be. I cannot explain it but there is something strange going on. If you know more than I do about the weather please give me some comments so we all can learn whats going on.

Its end of April and its snowing, sunshine, hale and storms back and forward for days. A few days ago we went to our friends camping and took a stroll with the dogs and it was beautiful and okay weather when passing the horses and looking at the flowers blooming, now I have no clue what has happened?

Landcape

The Dutch landscape is flat, flat and again flat. I get amazed every time I go through these tiny canals in the middle of the fields, and this early morning gliding through the flat landscape and only us and the cows awake.

Dogs onboard

My crew has grown and I am so happy to have these two guys on board. 🙂

New family member

During the last winter we took care of a dog called Cola, we are now proud owners of Cola and today we got him home. He is a schipperke and are 5 years old and such a sweetheart. These dogs were from the beginning dogs chasing rats on the Belgian barges on the rivers. This is a true friend to Melvin as well and they are lovely together. I call them big and small. A new chapter in life begins with Cola as well by my side.20151227_114731

The flu from hell

I hardly never get sick but since almost 2 weeks back now I been knocked out in the flu from hell. Not been able to eat, move or drink this has been a test to the teeth as our heater broke down in the same time as I got sick. D has been great giving me food, fixing the boat and Melvin while I have been trying to survive this evil virus. I was on my way to the doc but changed my mind and thought i go for another cure called natural cure. Thai liniment, ginger, tea and lemon together with sleep and some minor paracetamol I might be back on track again.. Well I am writing this post am I not? 🙂 Lets hope that D does not get this evil virus now as he is sick as it is with his evil C thing.

We are back in Amsterdam after a winter in the North and this weekend we were planning go sailing again, all depending on how the viruses has moved around the boat.

The heater is fixed and by the time that was fixed our water heater exchanger started to leak so we really need to get another one now, we cannot close our eyes for this anymore…

every winter there is a test.. And they makes us stronger that’s for sure.

The funny houses is in Zandaam a short bit outside Amsterdam where we fixed the heater. Melvin supervises the work of course.

Safe in Harbour

Up and down rolling along, singing for myself a little song

Steering the ship out on the sea, all alone out there is just little me.

We are back In Amsterdam for a little while, love this city where we been hanging out before we left for Kampen. It was a rather unpleasant sailing yesterday with a mix of hale, wind, snow and sun. It was great to be moving again and officially I said that the season has started but lets be honest to each other here, its freaking ice cold and the season has not started. Could not see another pleasure craft out there and they did right about that. It was indeed cool to be out and I have missed that the last months.

Lucky us that we moved when we did as it says its getting colder again, while here in he big city again we gonna try and make some more updates  on Happy six.

  • The fridge ( compressor) needs to be filled up with gas.
  • New oil
  • Return the Icom microphone as its no longer working

These things don’t seem much but when working full time as well as having my sick husband to care care of these things might take a while. 🙂

The marina is great and I took a bath with a view over the marina today. Wonderful to just relax and get warm and see the ships pass by. True luxury if you live on a boat.

Till next time sailors….. 🙂
