Wellness

Wellness is not how thin you are or how many hours you spent on the gym or how many carrots you ate for lunch last week. wellness is feeling good inside yourself and knowing who you are. If you don’t know who you are you will only be a lost soul at sea. If your soul is shining so are you on the outside and this is notice by many people around you and this is like rings on the water without you even knowing it. By our mind and consciousness we effect others around us by having a soul filled with wellness. And with wellness comes happiness. You catch my drift here? 🙂

I notice myself being grumpy sometimes for no reason at all, like the atmosphere we live in effect us most negatively once in a while. This effects of course my surrounding and all of a sudden the moment that just been so good for all just died. Most unnecessary and this is why I write this post, To make you remember who you are and how you feel and how that effects everything you do and and around you. To reach a goal it is important to not loose the ground on reality as the world we live in today is rough and not at all what you think it is. Open your eyes and hearts and you notice that the world will opens up to you.

Lots of love to you all.

Boat season

It has started and they are everywhere. 25 degrees Celsius today and everyone that has a boat was out today, the whole weekend will be the same. Here are a mix of boats you see in the Netherlands. There are thousands more and the marinas are full at night and empty in the daytime.

Small crumbs

Small crumbs with honey, sugar as sweet and coffee to go,

life is good with those small things, those sweet things

In the summer sun, May is gentle

the water is still and the harbor is glowing.

Lovely May

May is here and that should mean spring and it has turned that way, we had a week with weird weather but now all seem to be gone and the sun is here. We are out sailing still and we have about 3 more weeks to sail before I need to start a new job in Amsterdam. That is going to be pretty exiting. today was one of those days with hardly no wind, sun high up and felt warm in the face, finally May is here. 🙂

Repairs

Its always something when living on board and this winter our heater has been doing crazy stuff and once again it has broken down. (In written time its working again).

Take it out, clean it, change glow plug and net and voila, Its alive again! Only a days work and a little more to get the spare parts.

So to all you Eberspracher users, they suck when they don’t work but lovely when they do.

Kings Day

Today its Kings Day in the Netherlands and all over its Orange. we take it easy with the boat and its the first time we are not in Amsterdam celebrating and its no dingy weather as it is cold and windy. This is how Amsterdam looks on Kings day 🙂

Koningsdag or King’s Day is a national holiday in the Kingdom og Netherlands. Celebrated on 27 April (26 April if the 27th is a Sunday), the date marks the birth of King Willem-Alexander.

Up until 2013, when Queen Beatrix abdicated and was succeeded by her son Willem-Alexander, the holiday was known as Koninginnedag or Queen’s Day and was celebrated on 30 April.

The holiday was initially observed on 31 August 1885 as Prinsessedag or Princess’s Day, the fifth birthday of Princess Wilhelmina, heir to the Dutch throne. On her accession in November 1890 the holiday acquired the name Koninginnedag, first celebrated on 31 August 1891. In September 1948, Wilhelmina’s daughter Juliana ascended to the throne and the holiday was moved to Queen Juliana’s birthday, 30 April. The holiday was celebrated on this date from 1949.

Juliana’s daughter, Beatrix, retained the celebration on 30 April after she ascended the throne in 1980, though her birthday was on 31 January. Beatrix altered her mother’s custom of receiving a floral parade at Soestdijk Palace, in Baarn instead choosing to visit different Dutch towns each year and join in the festivities with her children.
